CardioScan provides a fully customisable suite of services for its customers. We work with our customers to understand which services will be of benefit to their operations, allowing for an optimum result which is flexible and scalable in nature.

Due to the high volumes of cardiac tests CardioScan reports, analyses and archives on a yearly basis it is imperative that we have a system that is secure, efficient and user friendly. Unable to find anything that could meet our needs on the market, CardioScan created BeatBox. BeatBox helped us streamline our workflow, making the management of cardiac tests seamless, accessible to our users and efficient. BeatBox can be used in addition to our reporting services and products or as a standalone software system to healthcare providers who already have their own equipment, analysis and reporting solutions.

Customer Example 1

A large Australian pathology group works extensively with CardioScan to completely outsource their cardiac reporting business. Having moved from a program which was completed in-house, the department went from a cost centre to a profit centre, eliminated capex spend on equipment and maintenance, reduced management oversight of skilled technicians and decreased their turnaround times from 7 days to less than 24 hours.

This customer uses the full breadth of CardioScan’s offerings and receives monthly utilisation reports, monthly error reporting and has access, as all customers do, to CardioScan’s 24/7 reporting and helpdesk resources.

Customer Example 2

A Cardiology group was undertaking a large quantum of cardiac reporting on a manual basis. That is, the group was using it's own equipment, were printing hard copy reports and using a combination of printed reports, faxing, hand written diagnosis and scanned reports to arrive at a result. This process was taking longer than 7 days per report and culminated in duplicate reports and missed billing opportunities.

With CardioScan’s help, the Cardiology group continues to use their own devices, sources their own consumables and uses their own technicians and cardiologists, but they are utilising using BeatBox to better manage their processes, billing and archiving. In time, this group may move to using CardioScan for new equipment or as an overflow reporting partner.

Customer Example 3

An Australian Cardiology group had capacity within their clinic and were looking for business development opportunities to ensure their staff were utilised appropriately.

They surmised that a wider collection pool for their reporting team would help to ensure any spare capacity was used without needing to expand geographically.

With CardioScan’s help, the Cardiology group provides cardiac equipment to primary health care providers and enhances the utilisation of their doctors. With the use of BeatBox, equipment and consumables from CardioScan, the Cardiology group is increasing their revenue and utilisation without having to open additional clinics.

The portable monitor is worn on a belt connected to a standard cuff on the upper arm and uses an oscillometric technique to detect systolic, diastolic and mean BP as well as heart rate.

When complete, the device is connected to a computer and a Cardiologist prepares a report of the 24 hour, day time, night time, and sleep and awake (if recorded) average systolic and diastolic BP and heart rate.
